Bonnie Pelnar Bio
From the first images Bonnie captured with a rental Motormarine during a 1987 Cozumel dive trip, she was hooked. Her hobby became a passion and her passion became a career. Now she lives out her dream as a successful photographer, producer, designer and mentor. Her company Under Watercolours, which started over 20 years ago with a small line of greeting cards, has grown to be world-renowned as Bonnie markets the dive and travel industry with her underwater photography and award-winning designs and websites.
Bonnie is a Magna Cum Laude graduate from the University of Wisconsin earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree emphasizing graphic arts and photography. After 15 years in corporate sales with Genigraphics and Kodak, she left her successful career to pursue her dreams and desire to travel the world. Today her talent takes her on assignments from the shallow reefs of Zanzibar to the underwater cenotes of Mexico's Yucatan peninsula.
Under Watercolours is recognized as the leading web designer for the dive and travel industry with over 180 original sites online, featuring thousands of Bonnie's photographs from destinations all over the world.
Bonnie's photography has been seen in nearly all the dive magazines and she has been featured for her computer graphic talent in trade publications for the past 30 years. She has received numerous honors and awards for her work including the prestigious Summit Creative Award for the creation of the Fiji Islands CD ROM, single-handedly competing against $20 million design firms and agencies world wide.
